Maksym Talovierov transfers to England
Defender Maksym Talovierov leaves LASK for England. The 24-year-old Ukrainian international joins Championship side Plymouth Argyle after making a total of 67 competitive appearances for the Athletiker. The transfer fee remains undisclosed.
Talovierov initially joined LASK on loan from Slavia Prague in February 2023. The Athletiker extended his loan from the Czech top club the following summer. Six months later, the Ukrainian defender made a permanent move to LASK, where he amassed a total of 67 competitive appearances over the past two years.
In the current season, Talovierov played 20 matches for the Black and Whites, including six in European competition. His only goal for the club also came on the international stage last season: in a 3-0 home victory over Royal Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Europa League group stage, the 24-year-old, primarily deployed as a center-back, headed in the second goal.
During his time at LASK, Talovierov also earned a place in the Ukrainian senior national team. After making his debut in March 2024, he participated in the European Championship in Germany as well as the Olympic Games, collecting a total of seven international caps so far. Now, LASK’s number four has the opportunity to prove himself in the English Championship.
LASK wishes Maksym Talovierov all the best for his new chapter and sincerely thanks him for his dedication and performances!

We did not want to deny Maksym Talovierov the opportunity to prove himself in England. He has always put the team first, and we wish him all the best for his new challenge. We feel very well positioned in central defense, especially as our young players have impressed with strong performances in both matches and training during pre-season.
