Midfielder Mohamed Sanogo will join LASK and wear the club's shirt starting from the spring season. The 21-year-old arrives from second-division club First Vienna FC and has signed a contract with the Linzers until May 31, 2028.

Following Samuel Adeniran, whose signing was agreed upon last summer, Sanogo is the second new arrival to join LASK in the winter transfer window. The central midfielder from Mali started his career in his home country, and in 2022, he moved from Yeelen Olympique to Croatian top-tier club HNK Gorica. From there, he was loaned out as a cooperation player to NK Zagorec Krapina.

In the summer of 2023, Sanogo made the move to Austria, joining second-division club First Vienna FC. He quickly established himself as a regular starter, making 27 appearances in his first season, 21 of which were as a starter. This season, the 21-year-old was also a fixture in the starting XI, playing in all 14 of First Vienna's matches. Now, Sanogo has signed a long-term contract with the Athletikers, lasting until May 31, 2028.

With Mohamed Sanogo, we have signed a very talented young player who was an absolute key player at Vienna and showed week after week the potential he possesses. With us, he now has the opportunity to take the next step. He is a very versatile player who can cover multiple positions in midfield, brings good dynamics to the team, and provides us with additional options for our style of play.
