LASK Kicks Off Qualification Round in Altach
At least ten more matches remain for LASK in the ongoing ADMIRAL Bundesliga season. The team will kick off after the international break with a Friday night match against SCR Altach, as the league officially announced a day after the end of the regular season.
With their third match of the season against Vorarlberg, LASK will kick off the final round of the Austrian Bundesliga on March 28 at 7:30 PM. A week later, the team will play their first home game on Saturday at 5:00 PM against GAK. Immediately after two matches against Austria Klagenfurt, LASK will face WSG Tirol at home on May 3. If they reach the Cup final on May 1, this match will be rescheduled to Sunday.
The final round will conclude with a home match against Altach on Friday, May 23. If the Black and Whites finish in the top two of the qualification group, they could play up to three additional matches in the national European Cup play-offs—unless they win the ÖFB Cup. Ticket sales information for the first home match of the final round will be announced soon via LASK's official channels.
The Mode
After the end of the regular season, the points were halved. LASK leads the qualification group with a two-point advantage over TSV Hartberg and will be ranked higher in the event of a tie due to the rounded points system. Several scenarios exist for the European play-offs, depending on the outcome of the ÖFB Cup.
- Scenario 1: Cup Winner – LASK/TSV Hartberg or Sixth Place in the Championship Group
In this case, the first or second-placed team in the qualification group (depending on the final position of the cup winner) will face the fifth-placed team in the championship group. The winner of that match will then play a two-legged tie against the fourth-placed team in the championship group.
- Scenario 2: Cup Winner – Austria/WAC Finishing 1st-5th in the Championship Group
The top two teams in the qualification group will play a single match against each other. The winner will then face the fourth- or fifth-placed team (depending on the final position of the cup winner) from the championship group.
The cup winner qualifies directly for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. The winner of the national European play-offs secures a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
