Tobias Lawal will be unavailable to LASK for the next few weeks. The 24-year-old goalkeeper sustained a thigh muscle injury during the derby against FC Blau-Weiß Linz last Saturday and is out for the time being.

Lawal had to be substituted after 54 minutes during the match against their city rivals, after injuring himself during a goal kick without any external influence. Following thorough examinations, a muscle tear in the front of the thigh was diagnosed, which will be treated with conservative therapy. The recovery period will last several weeks, depending on the healing process.

Due to the injury, cooperative player Lukas Jungwirth from second-division club Admira Wacker will immediately return to LASK.

We wish our number one all the best and a speedy recovery!

Tobias Lawal is a very important pillar for us, and his absence is, of course, a tough blow. Nevertheless, we are very well positioned in the goalkeeper department, and I am confident that we will represent him in the best possible way. Tobias has our full support and will undoubtedly come back stronger.
