Key Insights into the European Cup Draw

The league phase consists of 36 participating teams, with each team playing six matches against six different opponents. Three of these matches will be played at home, and three away. The top eight teams will qualify directly for the round of 16, while the teams ranked 9th to 24th will compete in a playoff round to advance further.

There are six pots, each containing six teams, and opponents are drawn from each pot using a computer. Clubs from the same country cannot face each other, and a maximum of two opponents from the same nation can be drawn.

Matches will be played on Thursdays: October 3rd, October 24th, November 7th, November 28th, December 12th, and December 19th. The exact schedule will be finalized by UEFA by Saturday evening.

The draw will be broadcast live via stream on UEFA TV starting at 2:30 PM.
