After European Cup: Away Match Against Austria Wien
After the European Cup, it's time for the Bundesliga: Three days after the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff against FCSB Bucharest, LASK heads to the capital to face Austria Vienna on Sunday in the 4th matchday (5:00 PM, live on Sky Sport Austria).
The 1-1 draw against the Romanian champions leaves all possibilities open for the second leg of the UEFA Europa League qualification in Bucharest next Thursday. However, before that, full focus is on the domestic ADMIRAL Bundesliga, where LASK aims to take points in their away game against Austria Vienna.
The Viennese side started the new season with four points, following a 1-0 defeat at Blau-Weiß Linz with a 3-1 home win over Wolfsberger AC and most recently a 1-1 draw at TSV Hartberg. In the previous season, the two encounters with the "Violets" saw LASK keep a clean sheet, with a 0-0 draw in Vienna and a 2-0 victory at the Raiffeisen Arena, thanks to a double strike from Robert Zulj.
Unbeaten Away Since 2017
The recent record against Austria Vienna is similarly positive. The Upper Austrians have been unbeaten in their last seven encounters with Austria, and in the last 19 meetings since October 2017, the Black and Whites have taken points 18 times, with 11 wins and seven draws. LASK has consistently secured at least one point in away games against Austria Vienna since August 2017. Since the Bundesliga's inception in 1974, the two teams have faced each other 112 times, with LASK winning 33 games and drawing 28.
In their second away game of the Bundesliga season, following a 2-1 win in Hartberg, LASK will be missing several key players. In addition to their long-term absentees, goalkeeper Tobias Lawal is out due to muscular problems in the back of his thigh, an injury he sustained during warm-up before Thursday's game against FCSB Bucharest. Captain Robert Zulj is also unavailable for the match in Vienna after suffering a broken nose in the playoff game.

„
We need full concentration for the entire 90 minutes against Austria. We want to extend the good phases of our play over a longer period. Additionally, we must learn to raise our level during those moments when we struggle.
